The Opportunity:
Overview: We are seeking a skilled Tax Accountant with experience in U.S. tax regulations and compliance, The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate preparation of tax filings, advising on U.S. tax laws, and helping clients or the company meet all federal and state tax obligations. The position requires expertise in U.S. tax codes, as well as an understanding of international tax principles.
This position is remote and offers you the flexibility of working from home.
You will be responsible for:
- Prepare and file U.S. federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, and other entities
- Review and analyze financial statements to ensure compliance with U.S. tax regulations
- Advise on tax planning and strategies to optimize U.S. tax obligations
- Research tax laws and regulations, staying updated on changes that impact clients or company operations
- Assist with audits and resolve any tax-related issues or discrepancies
- Collaborate with other accounting or finance teams on cross-border tax matters
To succeed in this role you will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience working with U.S. tax laws (3+ years).
- Knowledge of international tax practices and cross-border tax implications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
- CPA or equivalent certification
- Familiarity with tax software
