The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Operations Manager who is a Registered Nurse (USRN preferred) to oversee and manage the MDS Reimbursement process, ensuring that all operational activities are carried out efficiently, effectively, and in compliance with industry standards. This leadership role will involve overseeing a team, training staff, evaluating performance, and developing strategies to optimize operational systems. You will also be responsible for fostering strong relationships with both team members and clients, driving performance excellence, and ensuring quality customer service.

This position is remote and offers you the flexibility of working from home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • MDS Reimbursement Management:
    • Oversee and manage the MDS (Minimum Data Set) Reimbursement process to ensure compliance with relevant healthcare policies and regulations.
    • Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure accurate and timely completion of MDS assessments for reimbursement purposes.
    • Monitor reimbursement trends and identify opportunities for improvement in revenue cycle management.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Supervise, coach, and mentor a team of professionals, providing ongoing training to ensure high standards in job performance.
    • Perform regular quality control assessments, performance evaluations, and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Motivate and engage team members, providing support to meet both individual and team targets, while maintaining a healthy and positive work environment.
  • Operations Management:
    • Ensure that day-to-day operations are carried out efficiently and effectively, focusing on achieving operational excellence.
    • Develop and implement processes that improve overall operational effectiveness, reduce errors, and ensure timely task completion.
    • Monitor and evaluate team performance against KPIs and established targets, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain solid relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction with services rendered.
    • Manage the day-to-day responsibilities of client relationships, responding to inquiries, addressing concerns, and providing exceptional service.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring smooth communication and addressing any issues related to operations and service delivery.
  • Operational Improvement:
    • Identify and implement strategies for improving operational systems, processes, and best practices to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.
    • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure the development of efficient processes that enhance overall organizational performance.
    • Evaluate and recommend adjustments to improve internal operations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Strategic & Operational Objective Formulation:
    • Formulate and execute both short-term and long-term strategic objectives to align with organizational goals.
    • Assist in defining operational goals and implement strategies to achieve them while ensuring smooth operational execution.
  • Customer Service Excellence:
    • Identify ways to enhance customer service quality and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
    • Drive initiatives aimed at improving the quality of client interactions and ensure customer needs are met effectively.

To succeed in this role you will need:

  • Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States (USRN preferred).
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare operations, including experience in MDS Reimbursement and/or healthcare reimbursement processes.
    • Proven experience in a leadership or management role in healthcare or operations.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously with a high level of attention to detail.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
    • Knowledge of MDS Reimbursement processes and relevant regulatory requirements.
    • Experience in quality control, performance evaluation, and staff development.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to drive continuous improvement.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field

Service Fee:

Industry standards applicable to the state depending on work experience and level of expertise.
